The first ever grant chess tournament in the history of Jyothirgamaya Foundation:
“Sports unite hearts and break barriers—it’s a universal language of passion and hope.”
Along with our rigorous full-fledged access technology training for the Blind, we are also now promoting recreational activities for the visually impaired. One of the most popular and recreational activity is chess. Our senior access technology trainer Mr.P.Balraman has been a national chess champion for the past ten years continually. He has been teaching our students this game for a long time.
In the month of December during the Christmas season our organization had conducted a chess tournament with 30 participants. The function was inaugurated by the District Collector MADAM “ANU KUMARI” IAS and a few other eminent guest also attended the function. The players enjoyed the game with full participation and enthusiasm. We thank all our supporters, well-wishers, sponsor’s, volunteers, teaching and non-teaching faculty and our Blind students who were a big support in making this event a grant success.
